Here in New England spring is just starting, the buds on the trees just popping up and the birds are making their appearance regularly to the feeders. The Cardinal is said to be the spirit of the deceased coming to visit….for me they are a sign of spring and the hope that spring brings with it every year. Especially this year in this time of craziness, the world keeps going, trees and flowers keep blooming, birds keep flying…….
So with being laid off after 30+ years in the Hospitality industry, I find myself with time on my hands contemplating what is next for me. Photography has always held my interest and especially photography of the outdoors….so back at it I will go with my free time.
This was after we had a tornado warning…..unusual for Massachusetts!

We found this beautiful river on a hike over Pothole Dome…it was on the backside and there were hardly any people, saw some marmots….peaceful!
Wish I was there today…taken in February 2014 on a nice vacation with my son and mother….
A closer to home photo…..last year my Butterfly Bush attracted a ton of butterflies this year not quite so many, it’s a little concerning…..
